Born in Lagos and raised in Luxembourg, Ọké is a boundary-breaking artist blending Yoruba soul, Afrohouse, gospel roots, electronic pop and cinematic storytelling into a sound that feels both global and deeply personal. Emerging in 2017, his music explores identity, spirituality, queerness and transformation, shaped by his Nigerian heritage and the creative freedom he discovered after moving to Luxembourg at the age of eight.

Beginning his musical journey in church choirs in Nigeria, Ọké later immersed himself in Luxembourg’s DIY music scene, developing an artistic language informed by influences ranging from Fela Kuti and Tiwa Savage to Brandy, Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross. He has since grown into one of Luxembourg’s most exciting musical exports, releasing more than 35 songs, generating millions of streams worldwide and performing across Europe and Africa. Highlights include opening for OneRepublic, appearances at Bushfire Festival (Eswatini) and Africa Rising Music Conference (Johannesburg), and being named a winner of the European Emerging Bands Contest (Strasbourg). His music has earned international radio support from WDR, NDR, Y FM, Maximum FM, NRJ (Germany), UbuntuFM, and more, alongside releases with Sony Music, Universal, Soave and PARAISO.

Now, Ọké enters his most ambitious chapter yet with debut album Adedeji, arriving May 22, 2027. Created between Luxembourg and Lagos, the project saw Ọké return to Nigeria after years away, reconnecting with his Yoruba heritage while recording with local collaborators and creating the accompanying short film MO-WÁ across Lagos and Luxembourg. Moving between Yoruba and English, Adedeji brings together earthy percussion, gospel textures, African soul and contemporary electronic production while exploring ancestry, love, grief, queerness and belonging. Meaning “the crown has doubled” in Yoruba, Adedeji is both a return to Ọké’s roots and a declaration of the artist he has become, bringing the Nigerian and European sides of his story together on his own terms.
